Durable medical equipment (DME) is defined as medical equipment that is ordered by a physician or physician assistant for use in the home. DME used by our patients includes splints, braces, cam walkers, knee immobilizers, crutches, etc. Certain insurance companies will not cover the cost of these items. The extent of your benefits is determined by your policy. The patient is responsible for any outstanding balance.
OSHA regulations prohibit the return and resale of this equipment. Please be sure all questions regarding DME are answered before leaving the office.
